1950 Studebaker Starlight - $16,500 - Carson, CA - Here is a 1950 Studebaker Starlight Champion Coupe that is an absolute must see. This very popular bullet nose Coupe is a matching numbers car that was built in Vernon California and has never left the state. This beautiful classic is a high profile car that was owned by the Automobile Driving Museum in El Segundo, Ca’s Executive Director and is a 2nd owner vehicle. This Studebaker is powered by a Flathead straight 6 cylinder engine, with a 3 speed column shifted manual transmission with overdrive. The engine and transmission has been completely rebuilt by former Studebaker mechanic with 11700 miles on it. This classic Starlight does not leak oil and has been driven from Los Angeles to San Francisco a numerous of times. The straight body and unrestored gray exterior is complimented by the blue and black Pin stripping which was done by renowned Jeff Styles. This Champion Coupe cruises on 15 inch Hankook Optima tires that wrap around Moon saucer style hubcaps. This classic includes extra parts such as new seat belts, front bumper assembly and extra door/window handles. It has an extra water pump, bumper brackets, OEM Nos Stude front shocks and a custom cover from California Car Covers. The clean interior includes new black carpet, 2 blue custom re-fabricated bench seats (extra custom fabric included to complete door panels and headliner) and a 500 watt stereo which plugs into its original stereo. Neat old car... love the 6V Optima. I don't think I've actually seen one previously. I wouldn't think it would bring anywhere near the asking in the current condition, but it looks pretty solid overall.

I think the side lines of this car were styled after every speeding car ever to appear in a cartoon, or vice-versa. :D
