Having been in the same family for 37 years, a 3 ½ year restoration was completed in June 2014.
The truck body and bed were removed from frame, completely dismantled, and body, bed and frame were media-stripped to bare metal. Every part was rebuilt, replaced or restored!
The truck was restored to an exceptionally high-quality standard but kept as original except
These items were added:
Front disc brakes
Seat belts
Turn signals using existing brake and parking lights
Truck is finished in basecoat clear coat Victory Red
The frame is satin black powder coated
Running boards and bumpers are LIC gloss black
Wheels are factory original 16X4.5 inch painted LIC gloss cream
Bell housing and oil pan are sparkling silver powder coated
Interior is saddle and doe colored symphony classic faux leather.
Dynamat sound proof material installed in cab and doors
Heat insulation material installed between headliner and roof.
All dash gauges are restored, calibrated and faces were silk screen painted.
Bed is marine varnished ash wood with polished stainless steel bed strips and bolts.
Correct guage and color coded wiring harness for 6 volt system supplied by Rhode Island Wiring.
