1947 Studebaker Commander - Inquire - Waterloo, ON - 1947 Studebaker Commander Regal Deluxe Convertible / Restored by the renowned Studebaker gurus the Schrock Bros.With extremely low production of only 1,503 Regal trimmed Commander Convertibles , this highly optioned and extremely well restored 47′ Studebaker is true blue chip status. This highly optioned and correctly restored example was the undertaking of very well known and likely the foremost Studebaker ‘go to guys’ The Schrock Bros of Pennsylvania. The Schrocks embarked on a mulit year restoration in attempt to restore the finest 47 Commander Convertible available and they certainly succeeded. Armed with the personal collection of the largest hoarding of Studebaker New Old Stock parts the best of the best was saved and favored for this Commander. Refinished in factory correct colour of Tulip yellow , enhanced with a black Hartz cloth top including correct top stainless trim. The interior still boasts originality with blood red leather seating and the correct matching red carpets. The Regal trim allowed for many creature comfort options and this great example has many. The correct inline 6 cylinder is matched to a 3 speed standard transmission with factory and functional overdrive, a favorable option for highway cruising ,also equipped with optional hill holder. Includes, optional directional signals, Deluxe Regal Steering wheel, factory clock, radio, and heater, correct spot light and Studebaker script back up light. Exterior treatment includes lower rocker moldings, fender skirts, Regal Deluxe center hood ornament with matching fender spears, integrated amber fogs,front and rear accessory bumper ends and rear bumperetts. Aside from the fabulous attention paid to correctness and detail to the aesthetics the under hood is well and correctly detailed and this car runs and drives extremely well. With 1186 miles showing on the odometer, this would attest to this example having been tried tested and proved since its glorious restoration.
