Tri State looks like a nice track ('cept it was a 'lil wet, when I went by there)
Wish I coulda cruised by, and checked out the 'runner, but I hadda go home and stare miserably, at the junk in my garage.
still...congrats on the low 12 second passes. Could we get a refresher on your combination?? I know its a 451, mild gears, heavy car, etc. But how ratty is the cam?? (IF'n its not top secret )
Here ya go Marty, cam is a Hughes grind:237/242@.050 with 548/555 lift on 108 Degree centerline.
Torker intake with Eddy 800 Thunder carb, box stock Eddy heads 10.5 to 1 comp.
11's would be nice and someday I hope to get it there. [smilie=w:
Beeper, Slap about 5 degree's down on your pinion angle, and some long shocks. That along with some 9x29.5 M/T's and the 4:10's should get you down to a 1.70 60ft, and instant 11's. Your 60ft times are whats stopping you from being there now.
I am resisting the urge to change rear gears to keep good street manners,I know of a 3:91 chunk available locally I might be willing to try..we will see. [smilie=e:
Pinion angle it has now could be the cause of my top end shake and further investigation is needed there. The car still has the original standard leaf springs in it(read:Tired)...Better springs would help also? [smilie=e:
With that 1.78 60 foot it pulled with the current combo I can't be far off........
