$10k build sheet

K - so not defending this seller or anything, but we do all realize that guys who can actually own cars like the one described play with $10K the same way we play with 10 bucks?

Yeah - it sucks how expensive the rich boys have made the hobby, but that ship sailed long ago, so.......

You never know. Some of us low-buck boys have had some fairly heavy hitters bought at times when deals supposedly didn't exist. Believe me, I'm feeling the E-body sting right now looking at parts more cheaply/easily made costing two and three times as much as similar but more complex parts for other models. "Oh, those E-body guys have tons of cash!" That's not the reality, Skippy. No, mine's not a V-code, but my Super Bee was and if I recall, v8440 had a V-code Challenger within the last decade or so. Neither one of us is exactly a trust-fund baby.

Not saying you can't have a nice car without being a banker.

Just suggesting that someone who owns a sixpackbigblockfourspeeddanaredblackhighoptioned ebody and who also cares enough about the build sheet for it typically thinks about money differently than the rest of us...

Well, maybe yes and maybe no. If his fender tag is missing, he might be interested in getting a build sheet to know what he's got. Hell, I feel that way about the Challenger. I mean, from what I can see it's a 318/auto, console shift, AC, manual disc brake and manual steering car with an 8-track radio. Who orders that?! I don't even know the original color of the car or any of the options. I'd love to have a build sheet for it, but I don't think I'd pay much over $100 to get one. Yeah, it's different when you're talking V-code but it's still someone who might be bucks-down and isn't interested in selling the car so much as knowing what exactly it's supposed to be. If my Super Bee had been a Lynch Road car, I wouldn't have known nearly as much as I did because I didn't have a build sheet and Lynch Road tags are notoriously bleak information-wise.

He says he'd like to "would like to reunite with present owner of said vehicle!!!" at a cost of $10K...what a nice guy....:finger:
