Chrysler is recallinga fairly small number of2015 200s because a supplier’s part may have been assembled incorrectly, preventing shifting into Park. No injuries or accidents have been reported,only V6 cars have been affected (22,107 in the United States; 3,600 in Canada; and 213 in Mexico).
The company will send out notices to customers when they have parts available, and in the meantime, has asked customers to be sure to use their parking brake (which is electric, and tends to engage more fully thana typical customer would engage a manually operated handbrake). If dealers find a problem, they will replace the entire transmission at no charge.
