Couple more rounds should have the outside pretty good, The back side is killing me, hard to get a good angle on the welder.I may save that for him on the weekend?

I have the quartz light out there, it helps, but I have a problem wearing the welding helmet, I use really dark sunglasses, now that the welders all the way up I have to cover my face, on the low setting out back I already got a little face burn.

Now if I could aim better, I miss what I'm aiming at, at least 1/2 the time!

I have a 110V lincoln mig, he set it by the chart inside, I think C & wire sped of 5, D is the highest I'll do a test there & then lower the wire speed & see what I get. I do remember I used D on my frame rails, not sure of the wire speed, but I did burn my face pretty good!

I'm the blob master, even when I was doing sheet metal I made way too much work on the grinding end. My bud seemed happy with that first round, He did all that, I guess all I can hope for is that we caught enough good ones that the rear end doesn't fall out when the guy drives away!

Ok OK ,took a wire wheel & cleaned the old metal above the welding..........Tried to connect that to the last round of welding???Burned up another 24 grit pad, ahhhh, close enough! Slopped a coat of por15 on, I know that stuffs thin & runny but this seemed worse?

That's up to the boss, see if I can get him to stop by before I paint!

Got a go on removing the shackle, did a bunch more grinding away on the nastiness, got it to where I could live with it. Tomorrow, I slop some por15 on.

Not sure if it will bother him or the owner, It would bother me!
