    Snug movement is desirable. It will loosen with usage and any slop at the idler arm will create steering slop.

    "Idler arm" I would try to install the new. First see if the rubber bushings will compress, either by c-clamp or vice. If it will, do what's needed to install. The new one appears to be of better quality.

    Got a full set of those. They can be a real God-send the rare times when you need it. They work best if you choose a size very slightly smaller & have to lightly tap it on. Once you start turning, they WILL NOT slip.

    Personally I've always preferred black mirrors over body color. Accessories are there to accentuate, not become part of.

    Well, shit

    The back story is that 2 wing cars were elevated on garage hoists, while 2 other cars below were evacuated. The water reached high enough to sweep them both off the hoists & through the garage doors.
