    Jester's Progress...

Was it the #5 cylinder? Heard that's usually the first to go during oil starvation on a slant 6.

    Jester's Progress...

I was thinking of using something like this Standard Motor Products PS233 oil sender with the S727 connector/harness to wire in an electric oil gauge and keep the warning light.

    Jester's Progress...

Took Goldmember to the Lake the other day, for an inflatable kayak ride with the 3 year old... Drove nicely 40 minutes each way, but on the way home, the oil pressure light came on dimly at first and then bright solid red, cruising about 50mph. I was 10 minutes away and it was running fine, so...

    What are you working on?

You guys have such cool projects. I spent the other day doing a 4 wheel brake job on my daily commuter Civic. Pads and rotors all around, fairly routine brake job, other than the Electronic Parking Brake slowing me down, but got it sorted. Wife was mad I spent 6 hours in the garage. I neglected...

Might be getting back one of my old cars...

This is the coolest thread I've seen in a long time. Congrats on getting your car back! Wally only put 300 miles on 'er? Unbelievable. Happy endings don't generally fill my eyes with tears, but this one did.

    My wife did what?

Nice Dart! Those wheel covers were on my 72 swinger, as well as my 72 4 door custom. I have a set in the garage still.

    What are you working on?

Spent an hour chipping our car out of the ice the other day. Judging by the stance of the Civic, ice is heavy... A solid inch covered the car.

Yaris's are fun. Always loved driving and working on smaller cars. How hard is it to make coin as an independent Amazon driver?

OK what car parts do you want Santa to bring?

Cute Grandson! Santa didn't bring Jester any car parts for Christmas, but it looks like my 2.5 year old daughter is going to get a sibling in 2022... Getting too old for this, I'm going to be Grandpa Dad when they're graduating high school.

    Need a new PC

Wife wanted a new Mac, since her barely used, 3 year old laptop was "slow". Rather than blow 3 grand on a fancy Apple symbol, I ordered another 8gb of Ram, and a 750gb SSD drive, then cloned her old hard drive. Cost me around a hundred bucks Runs 5 times as fast now.

    What are you working on?

A rat or squirrel chewed up the wiring harness to a coil pack in my commuter. A 10th gen Civic. Apparently, the new wires are soy based and rodents love to munch them. Honda only sells the engine harness for way too much, and my comprehensive insurance deductible is $500. F that. I de-pinned...

    Jester's Progress...

Heat is definitely the killer of most ECU's, HEI's and Ford modules. Though I have not killed an HEI module, the Mopars and Fords all had similar deaths. Long drives in the Summer, the engine would cut out and I pulled off on the shoulder. Wait for engine to cool a bit, restart and travel...

    Jester's Progress...

Thanks for the info, Jass. I'm just happy to be rid of the ballast resistor, and all the made in China Mopar ECU's, most of which have a dummy transistor mounted on top. Apparently, an HEI module and decent coil would benefit my grocery-getter slant, with hotter spark and a wider plug gap, to...
