Tomorrow night is forecast to get down into the teens in the city. That most likely means single digits at my house, which is out in the middle of nowhere. I know you folks from Canada and the Northeast are probably laughing at me, but remember, I live in ALABAMA. That's fucking COLD for down here!

I've checked the coolant in all of my yard machines (forklift and loaders) and I've gone on a crusade to get all of my employees to check their antifreeze in the personal vehicles. Just yesterday, we found 2 who absolutely would have had something crack in their vehicles from the freeze if we hadn't caught it and added antifreeze. I even put a sign up reminding our customers to check their antifreeze. I like selling engines, but I don't want to sell a bunch that way! (I suppose I'm a dumbass for warning them about something that could make us more money.)

yup- cold as h**l :(
+ 1 farn. or -25 cel here this morning- glad I pulled in the van last night!!!

Currently minus 21 and minus 30 with the windchill. Cooler in the north
I imagine Collingwood is BRRRRRRR

9 F here today, was down to around 2 F last night.
This is Sarnia, it just doesn't get that cold around here.
Middle of January and we've still got snow on the ground.
This is the Banana Belt of Ontario, we're suposed to be laughing at the weather the rest of Canada has, not sharing in it.

*puts on long underwear and toque*

Well, here in the Niagara Peninsula this morning, our outdoor thermometer read -0.4 F.........so I guess we beat everybody. It has rebounded to a current balmy reading of 21.5 F.

More snow on the way today, and overnight..........I'm f**king sick of winter already! Can I come down to Alabama?? I'm sure it'll get warmer there a whole lot sooner than here!!

haha, the snow is gone from here (Vancouver, Canada). Having some nice above freezing weather again.

Still sucks when I have to work outside 'til midnight, but we're usually in the warm shop :)

Yup...a little foggy this morning and early afternoon but the sun is out and it's gotta be close to 10 Deg C here right now....about 52 deg F.....:giggedy:

And they are calling for much of the same for the next 4-5 days.:toot:

Ahhhhh, quit yer braggin'! You wet-coasters make me sick....

We reached a high of 2°F here today, after -17° when I got up this AM. We're now back down to a sweaty -4°F; wind chill at -15°. It's supposed to drop another 10° tonight, which is their way of saying -20° or worse. I don't know where our nearest weather-reporting station is located, but I can tell you this: it's sho' 'nuff somewhere downtown where traffic and heat from lighting paints a rosier picture than every other thermometer of which I'm aware.

Brutal stuff. We don't get the snow beating in this area that surrounding towns get, but our temperature extremes are right there. If you live near big water, lucky you. It's always warmer in coastal area in the winter, and cooler in the summer.

Upper midwest is laughing also...suck it southern boy!! :D

-20f predicted for tonight for LaCrosse, we are usually 5 to 10 degrees cooler here so ya, it's fucking cold.

It's going to get into the 50's here tomorrow, which is very unusual for this part of the country. Even Tahoe is having a heat wave. Normally, I'd be shovelling snow daily, but it's bare.

*sips on hot chock'lit and pulls blanky a little tighter*

" I don't think I'll go to work tomorrow" ;)

Minnesnowta is supposed to be gettin -25-35degrees & windchill -45-55! So Canada you'll prolly get it in a few days after we do!

This weather sucks. It's -7 out and I got shit to do. I can't feel my nutz with all these layers of cloths

It's 8:05 a.m. and -18 degrees right now in Davenport, Iowa. We had 7 inches of snow yesterday and the snow plow came by last night and buried the end of my driveway. The high today is suppose to be -9 degrees, so it's going to be a nasty day to clean it out.

Hasn't hit 0 here since about 2000, we may see it this weekend. First snow this morning, about 1". Got to run the 2cycle snow blower anyway. (Love the angry sound of that thing)
You know you live in a mild climate when:
1. Snow blowing is fun

BUT......... I have to make a trip to northern Minnesota in the near future.
It's a real bummer, my brother drowned while vacationing in Panama. Don't know how long it will take to get his ashes back and make memorial service arrangements.

Fly to Mpls and drive the remaining 290 miles?
Drive the whole 1350 miles?

Guess I'm still in a state of shock.........

So sorry to hear that your brother died. I think driving 600 miles in this crap would be plenty, although the longer road- trip might give you some time to reflect if you have the time.
