E body opportunity?

I saw that.....then I thought of how expensive it would be to re-do.....and it is originally a slant car, I believe....

Hell, I've got a running '73 I'd take $5k for. Not too rusty, either. She's right-E bodies are overrated. Though it's currently pimpin with a 318, mine at least has a pedigree-originally a 340 rallye car.

I wouldn't pay $6500 for the car in those pictures, especially with the market having fallen a fair amount.

Replacing rocker panels is a beeeotch, and the floors don't look much better, which makes me wonder what the hidden areas look like. If the 1500 parts the seller speaks of are NOS, then I'd say buy the car, sell the parts individually, unload the car, then take the proceeds and go buy a non rusty car.

See, to my eye the '71 is the ugliest Challenger. The '70 is prettier up front and oot back, and the '72-'74 has the taillights the designer originally intended for the car (witness the Yellow Jacket and Diamante show cars) as well as a better grille. To me, the only drawback to the '72-up cars is the lack of a droptop.

I'd pay more for a '72 340/stick car than any earlier car, save a '70 ragtop... and that would have to be a hi-perf engine, four-speed, and Ice Blue with a white gut and top.

only think i ever liked on the fat e's was the 73 challys tail lights , rt hood and side trim on the fender with black stripes running out of it..the fat fish all i liked was the 70? gills

some days i miss our 73 318 with rt hood black/white gut with amc med pink metalic paint
