Canada Day

Just got back form the big Canada day parade with the wife and kids...nice hot day...lots of eye candy for the wife and me as well...:gaga:

But Happy Canada Day to all my northern brothers!! :2thumbs:

Happy Canada day, guys... we've got our big day Friday, of course--3 day weekend!!

Happy Canada Day.

I got 3.5 days. Yesterday was a coasting day - check e-mail, deal with the urgent stuff.. and none came up.

Great weather today. Got stuff done in the yard, in the garage, had some mojitos on the patio, and went for a dip.

Canada Day!

Nice and warm here, light breeze, clear skies.
great weather for the fireworks tonight. :)

I worked today :( The joys of being self employed.

Happy Canuuk Day!

2 days 'til Piggy gets 5 days off, then goes back for 3 days and gets 10 more days off. Then works a couple more days and gets another 5 off. :D Gotta love Chrysler's summer plant shut-downs.

Happy Canada day!... Our gov't decided to add a carbon tax to gasoline today.

Nice, over 1.50 per litre now. 2 bucks next year?

Hehehe because I live on the border I get 2 fireworks shows, 1 for each country! :giggedy::giggedy: Happy Canada to all across the river peoples. :bravo:

I've been buying my gas across the line for a few years now...guess it will get a bit more crowded now with people crossing to save....:shifty:

It's pretty cool, isn't it.
We get to see them over Niagara Falls.
Niagara Parks does fireworks every Friday night, but then a huge show for Victoria day - May 24 and Canada Day - July 1.

We also get the frickin traffic.. with 3 major border crossings along the Niagara River, 99% of the traffic funnels through St. Catharines on the QEW.

We drove down the QEW for about 30 kms on Sunday and the US bound traffic was backed up the whole way and beyond. We didn't see the end of the congestion when we got off the highway.

So, figure that it's another 10 to 60 kms to the border crossing - depending on which one you're going to and add maybe another 30 or so to Hamilton - which is where I heard the traffic congestion started - and you're looking at up to 120 Kms of bumper to bumper if not dead stop traffic...
Even if it were construction or an accident just down the road we still saw over 30 kms of traffic jam...

We took country roads home.

What was this thread about again? I forget.
