I'd like to hear more info, as I was looking into rebuilt ones on EBAY the other day. The price range on them is amazing.

What gives?

I, for one, would love to listen to your schtick if you have any to give.

how many people were looking for 440 motors.:toot:

Oh good lord, I'm almost tripping over them. It seems like everywhere I go to look at a car I find a 440 that can be had cheap, often a steel crank motor. I have so many big blocks that having enough room to store them is becoming a problem. I guess you could try though-some places seem to have almost none.

Yeah like out here.

If you are lucky enough to find a late 70's one that runs it's $1000.:(

God DAMN, are you serious? I'm about to go buy a '64 or '65 imperial tomorrow, and at the same place there's a late 70's new yorker with a 440 in it that looks like it might run. I might be able to get it for $100, but I'm not sure I'm gonna bother because I have so many already. I certainly won't pull it tomorrow-I have too much other stuff to do. If I pulled a trailer load of my stuff into your area, I could probably make a small fortune.

Yes quite serious.

There are only 3 440 cars I've found 'round here all in the same yard for $1000 each.

'74 Newport 4dr.
'75 New Yorker 4dr.
and a '78 New Yorker 4dr.
He has a decent driver quality '78 New Yorker but he wants something like $2500 for that one because it isn't a total piece of shit like the others.:(

Are you talking about whole cars for $1000 each, or just motors? When I said I might be able to get it for $100, I was talking about just the engine. The car would probably run me $200-$250.
