Now that we have the classified section going, we want to phase out the old forums that we used to use - just to cut down on the confusion.
The default "view" for those forums is set to show the threads that have had activity within the last 2 months.
Once everything in each of those forums "ages" out, I'll close that forum.
It won't get deleted. So, if you find you are trying to dig something from an old old thread, PM me and I can get it for you. I don't expect that'll happen too often though. (Famous last words, huh?)
I don't want to just hoof 'em and have anyone that just posted in there have to go and recreate something in the new system. So, this aging out process seems to make the most sense.
So, I've locked out any new threads in those sections but still allow activity in the existing threads.
If you try and post a new thread in those sections, you'll get an error. It's only because we're not allowing NEW threads in there. There's nothing wrong with your account.
The eBay, Business Contacts and the Great Parts and Supplies links sections will stay exactly as they are. We may shuffle the Contacts and links over into the vendors section of the new Classified - but that means work. :shifty:
