The four lads from England didn't always go by this name. Can you guess what the very first name of their band was? :shifty:

Those were all names before they became the Beatles, but not the very first, orignal name.:shifty:

Well John started group the Quarry Men in 1957. Later in 1957 he met Paul McCartney and he joined while they were still known as the Quarry Men. While still the Quarry Men George joined. They switched from skiffle to rock and roll and changed the name to Johnny and the Moondogs. They changed that to the Silver Beats then the Silver Beetles, then Silver Beatles and finally the Beatles.
With John, Paul and George all forming under one of those names - and they were the Beatles. Prior to that would just be John. And that's only 25%.

Pete Best came from the Blackjacks also, since he was their original drummer I would say it kinda counts as 50%

Woo Hoo, In 1957 the band was formed as the Blackjacks then they went to the Quarrymen

:clap::nanatar::bravo:

1959 The Quarrymen
Johnny and the Moon Dogs
The Quarrymen again
1960 The Quarrymen become the Beatals then they become
The Silver Beetles then the Beatles back to the Silver Beetles
Then they finally become The Beatles (all in 1960)

But the Blackjacks had Lennon only. One man a group doesn not make.

In March 1957 John Lennon and Pete Shotton forms the Blackjacks. July in 1957 Paul McCartney joins. In 1958 George Harrison joins, 1960 Pete Best joins.

March 1957 Lennon starts the band the Quarry Men.
June 9 1957 is their first official engagement as the Quarry Men
July 1957 Lennon meets McCartney.
March 1958 Harrison joins

"The fifteen-year-old McCartney met Lennon and the Quarrymen at the Woolton (St. Peter's church hall) fête on 6 July 1957"

"In the early days of the band, when it was still the Quarry Men, Harrison was asked by McCartney to join."

Pete Shotton was in the Black Jacks

Sorry, not trying to ruffle anything or go on. Guess this is why I never play trivia. Sorry carry on.
