Orvil, do what you've gotta do. We're all entitled to our opinions. Last I checked, it wasn't up to you to decide what gets posted here, or who replies, or how they reply. Not a single thing I posted was directed at you. You ranted at me, which is fine. Anyone that posts anything is fair game unless the boss says otherwise.
I'm not bashing for the sake of bashing. As I stated, too many people want to gush all over this particular vendor, regardless of what anyone says that contradicts his "stellar" reputation. There are at least 4 members here, counting Jon and Bruce, that have had problems...big problems...getting what they paid for, or getting their money back. 4. That's alot. I posted what I did to contrast the "No way it can be true," that often follows this vendor's name, and also to show the "Gee, from what I've heard, that's not like him" folks who want to believe the best that you can't believe everything you hear.
I've seen it way too many times with this guy...someone posts that they're having a tough time, and the "No way" group piles on that person (though that doesn't happen here to the extent it does at other sites), and the "Gee" group has their well-intentioned say as well, but the end result is the person with the problem is left hung out to dry with no one to back them up. Jon and Bruce are honest, stand-up guys, and I posted what I did to show them that they're not the only ones it's happened to.
This isn't personal, Orvil, unless you choose to make it so. That's your decision. No need to feel embarrassed for me because I, like you, stand behind what I posted.
BootHead, you're right. He's done a lot to help people. I've gotten some good deals on some really nice parts from him, too. For some reason, though, there are a TON of people in this hobby who seem to think that earns him a pass. I don't understand it one bit.
