65 Valiant build

Today was rear panel day. I had to repair a small 1 inch section of the right side edge. I forgot to take pictures of that but I did get one of the completed repair. After that I had to add weld to close up a bad gap near the trunk lid where the rear pannel meets the quarter. The stamping was not straight and it didn't fit well before I cut the panel off of the car. Then I made a patch for the left side. That is a bigger rust hole. I'll fit and weld it in once I finish welding the panel to the car.

The 1st picture is the 1 inch patch on the right side. The 3rd picture is where I fixed the gap.

I did a little more welding after work last night. I had hoped to finish the rear panel but I ran out of 75/25 before I could start on the final patch.

I finished the rear valance this past Sunday.
Next I plan to hang the doors and front fenders. I need to repair the lower "dog leg" area on both fenders. I want them on the car to make sure I don't introduce a twist and to make sure my lines stay correct.

A few pictures of Sundays repair work.

That reminds me of the first 'Cuda, lots o patches, funny I must be getting senile, I miss that part of the work. guess the fact I hate wiring so much leads to wanting more punishment.
It is nice to walk off a bit & look back when a big piece just went on & you can't see thru the car anymore!
