Farewell to Peter Graves. From Mission: Impossible to Airplane! to Biography, his work provided me a lot of quality entertainment. His portrayal of Captain Oveur in Airplane! is probably the best straight-man work I've ever seen.

Rest in peace, and thanks for the memories.

Airplane! is a huge favorite. His narration on Biography was .....relaxing? Comforting? His voice had that very smart but soothing tone, like you could trust what he said.
I didn't realize his older brother was Marshall Matt.
R.I.P.

Airplane series was excellent stuff.

Oveur: Dunn… gentlemen, let’s get to work.
Curtz: Unger, didn’t you serve under Oveur in the Air Force?
Unger: Not directly. Technically Dunn was under Oveur and I was under Dunn.
Dunn: Yep.
Curtz: So, Dunn, you were under Oveur and over Dunn?
Dunn: Yep.
Oveur: Yes, that’s right. Dunn was over Unger and I was over Dunn.
Unger: So you see both Dunn and I were under Oveur, even though I was under Dunn.
Oveur: Dunn was over Unger and I was over Dunn.

Yeah - hadda watch Airplane! last night with a few glasses of Southern Comfort.

Wifey still doesn't get why I bought the DVDs years ago .... oh well - her loss.
