Dodge Challengers have been added to the Takata recall list, though so far Chrysler has only one documented case of injury from their airbags and that wasunder dispute when it was reported.
FCA did not use the specific types of Takata airbag inflators that have been linked to serious injuries in collisions. Therefore, with replacement inflators in short supply industry-wide, it is likely that Challenger owners will below on the list for replacement —because they are low on the list for risk.
Aninternal audit showed that the cars were accidentally not included ina May 2015 recall; around 88,346 were sold.
