Hi all,

I've been working on John's duster with Randy, a buddy of mine who knows how to do bodywork. We're repairing the tailpanel right now, using parts of a tailpanel cut off a donor car. (the donor was screwed in other areas, we did not destroy a viable car to get a tailpanel.) Here are some pictures of the process:

Here's a couple of the passenger side of the tailpanel on his car, before we started working on it:

These are of the donor panel as we work on drilling through spot welds. The second one is of the driver's side of the donor. The part cut out of that became part of the driver's side of the panel on the car, the one in the first picture or two where I had welded it in.

And these are as the car sits now, with all the exterior crumpled stuff removed from the passenger side.

We've got the support structure welded onto the passenger side. There's still a lot of work to do before the outer skin is on, but here's the progress as of a few minutes ago:
