Finally a day I'm off work and it's not raining. I'm taking the Dakota to the track. I'm gonna beat on this thing like an Ike and Tina Turner fisticuffs! After going through the brakes, trans, and engine over the winter I have no idea how it's going to act. Don't be surprised if wifey posts a video of a ball of fire zinging down the straight-o-way with a helmet wearing Pollock screaming YEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWW!

I broked after 1st run. No fire but lots of smoke. Wifey did good. She take me out to dinner with her winnings. I feel an itty bit better.

Yup, the poor Dak didn't make it so far. We have no idea what's wrong with it. We'll figure it out though.

My Nova.....errr Duster, on the other hand, performed flawlessly, I was so proud. Out of 70 some cars I made it to the semi-finals, I ended up in fourth place and earned $100. First time I was ever paid to go racing. I lost my last round because I went too fast. I guess that's the best possible way to lose.

Plus I drove it to the track and back! It was sweet putting all those other cars back on their trailers. Gotta love that.

I'll post more details and pics tommorow, I'm too beat right now to do it.

Cool, we need carnage pics :giggedy: Great job DG, I need to get my wife involved in racing. I did, maybe, talk her out of the Charger and/or Cuda for a little while anyway and into a Duster.
