:helpme:Just put in an internal application for the Associate Managers position at my retail job. This will guarentee me 30 hours a week minimum, 15% pay raise and benefits!! This could also mean that I can FINALLY quit Booger Fling!! (BK)
Man I really hope I get this job!!!

(Plus it will make me an official Ass. Man. ;) )

Well the other Associate Manager tells me that only one other person has applied for it so my odds are 50/50. I think I have a better chance because of my current position** and knowledge of the store and policies and what not but you never know.



** My Current Position:
C.S.S. - Customer Service Specialist. I'm the dude behind the service counter and am basically one step below management basically. I have authorization to do refunds, sign for large amount checks, work with vendors, etc... Only C.S.S. and Management may do ANY of this. I also work the furniture side so I know how that all works and I know policies for both sides of the store...oh I'm the only one cross trained for both sides as well ;) He does Freight Recieving, Stocking, Register and customer service....I do all that and then some so like I said I think I stand a pretty good chance. :helpme:

Well I didn't get the position. Got some insider info that the store manager had already made up her mind before I was even talked to. Everyone else (including some other members of management) are calling 'favortism' but oh well. I think Dan will do fine in the position even though he needs to be trained on EVERYthing. Worst part is they want me to help train him!!!
I would be a little upset about it but fact is I like the guy and want to see him trained PROPERLY unlike our last Associate Manager:doubt: who is now Assistant Manager. :doubt: But there may be light at the end of the tunnel after all. Our other Associate Manager might be leaving so I'll get another shot at the position after she leaves:helpme:
