Wish I had the cash...

That particular radio wouldn't fit in a '71-'74 Charger and is wrong for the E-body, but it's nice to get everything in one box. It actually went for less that I would expect, too. I got quite a bit more for an AM/FM/8-track/CB for a later B-body or Li'l Red.

I sold one a complete set-up for a 71/74 B/E body many years ago. I had pieced it all together and had it in my 73 RR. It was a console mounted unit as well. Think I got at least $500 for it.

The E-body radio is different than the B-body style. The E-body uses a full DIN-E size faceplate that goes around the knobs and radio dial. The B-body unit has just two shafts that protrude through the dash bezel and the dial window is separate, with its own opening in the bezel. The zinc substrate behind the dash matches the bezel and won't allow the E-body radio to fit. I believe the E & C radios will interchange, but the appearance is different. The B-body is a horse of a different color altogether.

Actually, now that I think about it, that only applies to the Rallye dash. The standard, rectangular dash bezel uses the DIN-E opening.

This is the Rallye-dash radio.

I have one of those, AM with 3 of the knobs, 2 inner and 1 outer. Paid $25 for it I believe.

I want to have it restified with digital guts, RCA jacks and an iPod connection. I think thats about $400 or so with a core. Hmmm, I wonder how much more it would be to add satellite radio... :hmmm:
