Rumors of the Hemi’s demise started swirling through the Internetlast year, with several sources publicly claiming that the famed V8s would be dropped around 2018.
At least one Allpar source wrote that the company wasstockpiling Hemis in preparation for an early cutoff; the popular, inexpensive engine was reportedly to be replaced by twin-turbo and twin-screw-turbo Pentastar V6 powerplants.
Now, another source has written that this is not the full plan.
