Who's logo

68R/T

I got drunk and swallowed my teeth, now
I know that this is a '68 mopar cap, but I can't place the insignia in the center. Anyone??

:huh:

Yup those are the "chrysler" symbol caps I have on my 68 Chrysler T/C wagon. Big C with three crowns. Believe they were only available on low level model chryslers in 67/68...and maybe 66 but not sure.

:doh:

I never thought of looking at it as a letter "C"

I knew it was a Mopar of the '67-'68 era because similar styles were used for the Dodge & Plymouths from the same years. In '68 Dodge & Plymouth switched from a 10" dog dish to a 9" and the Dodges added the embossing to the cone, like this;

For '66 & '67 they looked like;

As far as I know the Plymouths never did add the embossing. These are what I'm running on my Plymouth waGOON;

Is the one you posted in your collection...or are you looking to buy them, and put the plymouth medalion on the center?

None of the above.....:shifty:

I saw the Chrysler ones on ebay and couldn't place the original usage.

But I do have 4 sets of dog dish caps of different styles. One set is some NOS 68 Coronet caps to compliment my Rag/Top, one set of the redline with a fratzog, one set of plain caps and a set of '64 Dart caps that I plan on running on my '68 Coronet sedan. I would like to have OEM style '68 caps but they bring enormous $$$$$

Dart caps;

I stand corrected, in '68 Plymouth DID go with the embossed cone caps;

I would love to have a set of fratzog redlines. The ones on my Challenger were perfect, but I tossed 'em. The mistakes of youth. :doh:

Make no mistake; I don't want to buy a set... I just wish I still had mine. I already have more wheels than I can handle. I crushed a set of 15x7 steelies with the LeBaron, and my cop wheels are for sale plus I have the forged aluminum 10-spokes (I finally have all four) and the Conquest wheels. I do have a set of 5 plain dog dishes, I just prefer the redlines.
