Who's got a tranny for me?

Hey all...

I'm in dire need of a 4 speed transmission for the 360. if anyone has one that they're willing to part with or a suggestion of where to find one, let me know. all of the junkyards i've checked have come up short and i'm running out of patience! Thank you guys, and gals.

Not that I'm willing to give up any of mine, but what type do you need? Car, truck, long, short? What's the application, other than a 360? Have you got a bellhousing (I have a couple spares of those...)?

i'm finally getting around to building the duster.. it'll still be a while before she's running (i still need to afford to build the motor) but i would still like to get all of my parts ready to rock and roll. i don't have a bell housing jass. shit, i don't even have a crankshaft yet. all that i have thus far is the short block and a rotting car... at least i have high hopes, right? well, thanks again.

Well, Nick, I think if you have a shortblock it probably has a crankshaft. If not, then it's just a block.

If I recall, I have a spare crankshaft, a set of rods, and a bellhousing for you. The bellhousing has a crack, but it's a super-easy repair in a non-critical area. I can have the fix done locally--pretty cheaply--by a very competent fab shop. Pay for the weld, and the shipping, and you can have the whole shot. The rods still have pistons on them, which you won't want to re-use. I'd take them off, but I don't have the means to do it at home.
