And the best part is I gonna have golden boogers in the morning! Wheeeeee!

run down to the paint store on Monday and ask (while picking a big honker out) "can you match color if I have a chip?"

Looks dang good!

Wow that is great the prep work must have taken for ever WOW! You are kidding you used a resperator right?

You would hafta be totally brain dead not to wear a resperator when painting. Took two years of prep work even though the body was rust free. I wanted this one to be my best paint job. I have a couple little flaw but nothin a little 1400 grit and a wheel won't take care of. Quite honestly The #1 on my thank you list is the wife. She spent as much time on the project as me and she did most of the stripping and parts cleaning, and with out her eagle eyes I know I would have had more flaws. Thanks DG, you are the best! ;)

I gonna bot on the rallye hood, and save the flat hood for another idea. Thinkin maybe a blower or tunnel ram on my 440.

*blushes*

We busted ass on that car! I wonder how many hours were spent just on sanding....hundreds probably. Piggy did an awesome job with that metallic paint, the base coat is flawless, the clear has a little orange peel and a couple runs, nothing compared to what our Dart had and we'll be able to wheel it out easily. I'm very happy and proud of the result, especially for a garage job.

I will say that gold is a HARD color to capture on the camera, in real life it looks so different, much more intense. When we opened the gallon of paint it looked just like molten gold.

As a painter, what you typed describes it perfectly!
