Where have I been?

For anyone that might have wondered why I rather suddenly quit posting, it's because I've been that damn busy at work. I leave home in the morning at 6:15 or so, and get home at about 7:15 in the evening. Sales-wise, we're doing rather well at work, so the workload has increased considerable there. Also, I fired a couple of people week before last (for bringing ghetto drama into work), so that put us seriously shorthanded. I hired one person early last week and I have another that will probably start tomorrow, so that part of the situation will be getting alleviated as they learn how to do stuff. I also had to send my lead cashier down to another store to help re-train their cashiers (high turnover there, ghetto drama extraordinaire), so that didn't help any. In summary, I've been busier than a one armed fiddler with the crabs.

Well.......good to know that someone's actually busy. Funny how one person's famine is someone else's feast. :shifty:

Yeah, our next quarterly bonus should be getting handed out soon. Everyone from the assistant manager on down gets a bonus in cash every Monday if the store did well enough to make the sales target for the previous week. Our store has done that for like 6 or 7 weeks straight. The manager does not get the weekly bonus, but instead gets one in a separate check after every quarter. I hope I get rewarded appropriately for the bottom line contributions we have made. I could sure use it right about now.

I had one of those... seems work, while I'm not complaining about being employed, has a way of eating up time. Even when I get home, all I want is to be left alone with my scotch and adult swim.
