Whats on your garage walls?

Well, Nascar doesn't allow knock-offs, so it has to be from an Indycar. :hmmm:
 
Yep its from an indy car. I've had the wheel for a long time. It's from walker racing. A buddy of mine worked for safety clean in indy. He had a bunch of indy car shops on his route. Walker racing said he could have it. If you look close at the spoke near the valve stem you can see they stamped "BAD" in it. The tire came from work. The owner of the shop I work for bought four tires off of the winning car at the milwaukee mile some tiome ago. He put one tire in each of his stores because we sell dayton tires. Dayton tires are no longer available and they were going to toss the tire. I asked for it and mounted it on my wheel. It now lives on my wall.
 
If anyone comes in your garage and asks, "What's that for?"

Just tell them, "My other car"........and then change the subject.

I have a bunch of stuff on the garage walls with much more awaiting to go up once I finish painting....it's taking me awhile. :shifty:
There is a stack of decals 1/2 a foot tall for my cabinet doors, currently residing inside the cabinet.:D

I'll have to snap some pics of what's up so far.
 
you SUCK...id kill for the tire or the wheel let alone the pair?!!??!!?

did dayton quit making tires?!?!?!? i always liked there tires

For the most part yes, they did. Bridgestone ownes Firestone and Dayton. Dayton tires have pretty much been on backorder sence the GOV. put the tariff on the chinees tires. The Dayton tires were/are the budget line of tire for bridgeston firestone. They are filling size demand in Bridgestone first (most expencive top of the line tire) and then size demand in firestone. Becouse of demand there isnt time to build dayton. The tariff is only a 4 year tariff so the tire manufactures didn't open shut down plants. They are just running at full tilt untill the end of the tariff and taking advantage og the created shortage and raking in the cash!
 
yeah i knew the daytons were bridge/fire knock offs more or less.....id hoped they wernt going away...i seriously would love to get my hands on one of those slicks

There should be three more in our system. The owner bought one for each store. I'll see what I can do if you want. If I can get one from one of the other stors (assuming they are tossing theirs too) I give it to you for the cost of shipping out to you. No guarantees though. It all depends on if I can get another one.
 
about a foot thick of dust.... unsure what color the walls are/were

the floor is about the same except in the areas that are swept out after each project is completed.

also some projects that have been put on the back burner and likely forgotten because of some other crazy project that was thought of. However if the walls could talk i would love to hear their stories they could tell about the crazy projects that have gnoe on in its 30 year history
