What will it run?

Da-ho

not even
Daughter wants to go to the track so we are taking my latest addition to the fleet, a 96 Ram 1500 2wd with a 5.2. I guessing high 15s at 85 or so. Whatever in does we will enjoy beating it. Just talked to a guy in Portland and its raining there and headed this way so it better move fast. [smilie=e:

i dont think it will even be in the 15's. all of the ones i have driven felt like 17 second rides but i could be wrong.

Portland Oregon, as in slightly north of your location. Im going to Spokane to run. One thing about it, whatever it does- it can only get faster next time. [smilie=e:

well, my dakota runs 15's, its got an open rear end, stock drive train, and an mildly modified v6. Its also a five speed. But it also weighs 3,500lbs.

I'm not sure how much the rams weigh in, but, i'm positive its heavier than that. 17 to 18's sound more like it, since its a 318, i'm guessing stock.

Cool. I'm guessing portland is about 6-7 hrs north of me. I'm an hour south of Redding.

Portland is about 3 to 4 hours North of me, but it's also about 35 hours West..... [smilie=e:

(Yes, Oregon is North of some parts of Canada.)

How's that song go? Toooo much... time on my hands.... tooooo much..

Anyway, good luck at the track. Ya gotts atart somewhere and like you said, Da-Ho, it'll be faster next time...

17s? Oh well, its always good to see old friends and make new ones. We will help out the local pro bracket guys in the pits again too. Cloudy and cool conditions today. [smilie=e:

Well not everybody can be so lucky as to live out this way, Im from Iowa originally but have lived here longer than I lived there now. After being in Kansas last week and sweating my butt off in the humidity Im sure glad to be HOME. [smilie=e:

RAINED OUT! Got to talk to some pissed off racers and asked track personell why they didnt pull the radio adds they had been running all weekend. The 60 ft light would have been under water on one side though so what do you do? [smilie=e: [smilie=e: [smilie=e:

I will forever remember this day! It was one thing to go and watch the drag cars but its a whole different world when you are in the back. I can picture every single car and smell the smells. Sitting in those cars with you and listening you talk about them with such passion had me hanging on your every word. Its the days like this that i share with my own daughters.

national lampoon's style road trip! It was a long drive and i enjoyed sharing it with you. You were so proud to show off your first grandson and your son in law to your whole family. My sister and i talk about this trip fondly, even though breaking down and getting stuck in WY for a few days didnt seem very great at the time, but im happy to have been given those few extra days working on that car with you!

Probably a little late in responding, but I'm glad you came here and added responses to his old threads.

It's nice to be reminded of da-ho. He was a favorite and the board was never quite the same without him.
