What was I thinking?!

Apparently, I wasn't... but I still feel good about it. :D

We'll see how long that lasts. I bought this in a package deal from 72sickness that included an '81 Imperial parts car. The Imperial's mostly stripped but has good doors (I needed a RH door) and front fascia (I live in hardcore deer country) as well as many small Imperial-specific bits.

The wagon is actually quite solid, and I just couldn't see it being used as a demolition derby car, or worse yet going to the scrapper directly. No motor or trans, but for the $400 spent I think I did alright, if only for the Imperial stuff. I have no plans for it, nor any plans to make plans for it, but at least for the moment it's safe from those who would do it harm.

I can actually see no good reason for wanting to own that......

Joo guys blind or sumpin?

Worst thing is, My wifey would think that's the coolest thing ever....

My wife looked at the picture and said "He should just leave it there..." :)

I don't know that I want to own it either. It was more like a rescue... and I needed the Imperial bits. The wagon was almost a freebie, really, when I consider what I'd have to pay to get a replacement fascia for the Imperial.

I consider myself a "foster owner" for the time being. I have way too many other fish to fry to even start worrying about yet another car. Regardless, at the moment it's mine. :D

"Or a D9" That's just fucked up! Funny as hell though. Reminds me of a joke I tell occasionally: I'll ask somebody "Hey, did you hear about what Evel Knievel's son is planning to do for his next stunt?" They'll say "No, what?" I tell them "He's gonna jump 1000 Obama supporters with a D9."

Yes! And at that point, he actually had less than 1,000 supporters including himself, so it would've been a brilliant preventative measure!
