What is the coolest thing you have.....

Stretch

Hey! There’s no easy button for a body like this!
Ok, I'm stealing this topic from another board I hang out at. The storys and pictures (is available) are pretty damn cool so I thought I would bring the topic here to see what you guys have found in your car.

I pulled the rear seat out of my car nott long after buying it. (I cant remember why) and found a VERY old joint. It was super dry. :D What did I do with it? Umm.... I turned it in to the nearest local law enforcment agency of course.:wtf::toot:

I pulled all the seats and carpet to run wires for the radio and cd player (their in the trunk and run my remote) When I pulled up the front carpet I found an unused set of keys for my car complete with the factory taggs still ringed to them.

Under my trunk carpet I found a tag for the stripe kit. I don't remember what it sayes exactly but it somthing like "stripe X9"

I know a few of the "cool" stuff Jass has found over the years. The '72 RR turned out to be quite the treasure trove.:D

Yeah, I pulled about $5 in change out from under the carpet. I also found a speeding ticket for 115MPH in a 55, some Old Spice after-shave, and a bottle of Scope mouthwash. I think I still have the speeding ticket somewhere, but it's badly faded now. I spent the change on Pac-Man and the Old Spice and Scope went in the trash.

The coolest thing I have automotively? Toss up between the F1 spark plug and my throttle body for the 340.

I have a poster autographed by the hosts of BBC's Top Gear, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. It's framed and in my living room.

The reader's ride page from Mopar Muscle that my wagon made it into is framed and hung under the above poster. :D

A pistol grip shifter from an E-body with console and a Hurst shifter from a '69 Road Runner with a bench seat.

I'm sure I'll think of more.

Not cool things, the coolest thing. I have tons of cool stuff floating around. I think my throttle body wins the day, because it's something I can actually use.

in fishys cuda there was always a hump in the floor...now mind you this was long before it was his...eventualy i did a lil digging and found it to be a never intalled dome light bucket

my 58 behind the NEVER removed door panels was a old beer can with the entire top removed and washed clean..it was dusty but nice enuf and a brand i hadnt heard of

as far as really cool not just od ..ill have to think on that

Hmmm. Until my brain can dredge up other memories, I'll go with:

In the pile of stuff that came with my 69, I found the original owners manual.

I've got the D O D G E hood letters from the first family car the I ever remember - my Dad's Dodge 330 Slant 6.

I found the original window sticker in my '00 Dakota R/T. It cost a little over $25k new.

I'd forgotten that somewhere I have all the original paperwork for my '73 Challenger, right down to the trade-in agreement, original window sticker, and amazingly, the Manufacturer's Statement of Origin, which was supposed to be given to the state in order for them to issue a title. How that survived, I don't know.

It would be a lot cooler if I still had the car.

69 and I were cleaning out one of the 3 2nd gen fish he scored for a steal of a price. In the trunk we found something wrapped in a plastic bag and newspaper. 2 or 3 old pot pipes. I ended up selling them to a friend of ours :D

Oh. Stuffed in the original yellow Wieand box, is the stock listings from 1973 (if I remember right) L.A. Times.

When cleaning out my 73 Roadrunner years ago I reached into the quarter panel to clean out guff and crap and came up with a partially decomposed mouse....:hurl: I also found a bunch of crayons, some melted to the floor boards by where the dual exhaust ran.

I recently found an old 3.08 bullet in the 48 Desoto, as well as an old movie ticket from the 50's.

When I picked up the 2nd gen dodge ram seat for the crewcab it had a LOT of loose weed on, in and around it. Guess they used it as a sorting area. :shifty:

my boss had what we latter found out to be an intermitantly bad ignition in his honda...its ALWAYS had a rattle in the dash..he found a bullet in there(atleast double the size of a 22 but i dont know ammo)..it had been fired but not shot..IE there was not 1 not 2 but 3 pin hits and 100% still intact!

now this one doesnt seem as cool when i tell it but to me its extra cool.....when i got my 69 cuda it had its ORIGINAL washington plates in it...i slowly scrapped layers of tags off and found some "odd" tags all dating back to 70....fast forward to a few weeks ago..i noticed them on the garage door and had a look at the "odd" tags on it..they are washington to victoria ferry tags......now mind you that means my 1st car was in victoria BEFORE i was..riding the same ferry ive been riding for over a 2 years

Coolest thing from a car would have to be my old RimBlow steering wheel from the very first Dart I bought (My first Car).

The coolest thing period would be a couple of Avro Arrow parts, I had some family who worked for Avro subcontractors who took some souvenirs when the project was murdered. A budy of mine has a single blade from an Orenda Iroquois engine.
