so this is what i do...i work on 2 LM-2500 gas turbine engines... and one main reduction gear... each engine has a power turbine break. 35000 ft lbs of force to stop the power turbine. the engines push the power to the main reduction gear that takes it from high speed low torque and converts it to low speed high torque which at the end were pushing out 51,500 horse power each and we have 2 one the ship. asside from my babys, im the oil queen on my ship, i test fuel and lube oil, and transfer fuel to the engines, i also do flight quarters, i help refuel the helicopters that land on our fight deck. soon I will be getting my own riser so ill be the one at the stations while we take on fuel fron the oilers. over all i walways have a busy day, sometimes hectick casue there is always something wron that has to be fixed and there is always maintenance to be done. here are some pictures of my ship and flight quarters and what my engines look like. enjoy

Well --- i wonder who is going to pump gas when the car is on the road?:bwuhaha: i don,t think it is a hard question.. the real question here is how do you put a Heli engine in a duffel bag and get it home for the car? :doh:we are PROUD of you and tell all yer buddies on board THANKS for doing what you do -- please.... and thanks from us up here in Canada..... as you know our country has 2 conoes 5 musketts 11 men 4 sets of running shoes 1 pillow case for use as duffel bag...3 oars 1 lifejacket - used for pillow- 8 rounds of beer- thot i was going to say ammo huh? 52 sling shots that we use for silencers and all the small stones on the beach for ammo... so as you can see we are doing good.and 1 axe which we use to shave with something i wouldn,t lose my head over.. we are ready for anything that is not alive --- so thanks again for what you all do ---SALUTE:giggedy::giggedy::bwuhaha::bravo:

Also, a big Thank You! from north of the 49th here in Canada too! You guys still have support up here regardless of what you hear on the news.

Cool another jet shop person! I kinda did the same thing on ships.........Gunships that is, in the 16th special ops squadron (not special ed). Allison T-56 engines and Hamilton standard 54H60-91 props. I join the Airforce in 92, I thought about the Navy but theres too many seamen:bwuhaha:.
