What happens to a Ford in the wrong hands?

Just by reading the title, you should know this is about my brother. Last Monday he bought a '92 Mustang LX with a 5.0 and 5-speed. Thursday comes (yes, the same week), and the pictures below tell the tale.

The top of the piston.
Cracked wall.
The spark plug.
The valve head.
The head.

What caused all this? The valve retainers came out. And my best guess as to how that can happen is that the rpms got a little on the high side.

About that. First was the Celica. Engine went bang in that, fixed then he hit a deer. The RX-7 went up in flames. Luckily, this wasn't the car my buddy was selling.

I didn't know you could spin a 302 fast enough to do damage. I have a buddy (Dan) who would shift his when the tack was buried and not before. Jass can attest to that.

Man, the worst part about that was never knowing where he buried that friggin' tach. There were holes all over the back yard... but I did find a number of steak bones, some loose change, and a cat skull. [smilie=e:

I don't think so. I think it's just clear plastic with some blue paint or something on it. It's ugly no matter what it is, along with the pedals, shifter and e-brake boots and the incredibley gay striping/lighting on the dash. I should also mention that the rest of the car is completely stock. I don't know what's under the hood. Probably stock as well. Oh.......it's a GT too but who cares?
