The title says it all... This is the car I had mentioned before, I do not know the history of this car. Here is what I do know: it was a vinyl top car,it is/was burgundy metallic, it had a white and burgundy interior, it was a V8/auto (unknown sizes), It does not have a tach, it does have a console. The grilles are as close to perfect as you can get, the floors are solid, the 1/4's are almost perfect, if you do not include motor/trans the car is 90% or better complete. It is only missing a couple small trim pieces. Here are some pics:

The back seat is not in the car, but it is included with the sale, right now I do not know if the build sheet is available, or intact, and I did not look to see if the fender tag is still there. I don't really care, I'm not a #'s guy so no harm no foul.
SO WHAT DO YOU THINK IT'S WORTH???
Thanks everyone, Bill

It is worth absolutely nothing! I'll be more than happy to take it off your hands! You don't want that thing just laying around your yard do you? Really?? :shifty::shifty::shifty:

Yea that's what I thought when I saw it... Can you believe this car sat 10 minutes from my house for the last 9 years? My buddy found it, he's working on a price for me he wanted to part it out, but it's too nice. So I am trying to figure about what it's worth so we can negotiate...

One of the nicest 68 grilles I have seen in a while. By the way I *right click, save...* those pics. :shifty: Thanks. :)

as insane as prices are I do not know but if I had the funds I would not pay over 1500 for it I would offer 500 and see. But then again I may never have 500 again in my life...

value is a tough one for me cause I'm cheap and never pay more than $1,000 for anything. :D Plus I don't know about hidden rust and other issues, so it's tough to say without seeing it in person.

Sorry, I'm no help.

Good luck, let us know how it goes.

Ooooo...notchback Barracuda. Me likey. As for value, I'd probably say $2500. I have to agree with you though. Don't part that car out.

Well here's how I figure it.
1. whats the plan for it?? Restore-hotrod-dragcar??
2. What will it cost to do the above??
3. What can you afford to spend total??
4. 3-2=what you can pay for it give or take a few $$
chit pay what you want this never works for me:huh:

hmmm i wonder if its gonna be buh bye for the fury's now? Nice car bro good luck gettin it....

The plan is resto-mod, Alterkation K frame w/R&P steering, big disc brakes, 383 stroker, possible Kiesler conversion (if so Strange S-60), stock dash, console etc w/ custom front seats and modded rear seats, custom stereo hidden. Prolly 17's I know, I know, but that's the plan little old, and a little new.

My off-the-cuff reaction was a max of about $1500. That said, why do a 383 stroker when a 400 stroker will make more power? Just wondering, I always want to know why when I see someone mention doing a 383 stroker motor in a car that didn't come with a 383.

well someones already paid to do the expensive conversion...68's had the crapy rope seal front and rear glass seals..thats the 69 stainless swap...poke around the trunk and front floors and around that back glass lowwer area since it "was" a toped car...overall as rust free looking as it is and straight/complete and rather fine looking grill id say 1500-2500 is in line ..you never know what you can talk an owner down to tho

also check the lower control arm mounts on the inside of the engine bay for swelling..how far has the battery tray fender area rotted out?

overall its a quite well optioned with rather pricey parts to get...buckets with headrests, cherry grill, console, 69 window trim/seals, uncut dash, is that AC i see too?, proly has the 150 speedo?..considering that most ppl are after these options for there cars

Lower arm mounts looked ok, floors looked great, only spot I saw was in the trunk about a 6X6 area was startint to rust through, the well is all there and barely any surface rust. Does have 150 speedo, the damn thing is almost all there, only missing pieces are a few trim odds and ends. The grilles are excellent all of the had to get, ie. expensive is there. The engine bay has no rust, and the battery tray is solid with only surface rust. Body is in excellent shape, very lower 1/4's, and bottom of the R/F fender have some rust as well as the small spot in the trunk. Yes it had A/C...

V8, I said 383 cause I have one with the machine work done, I have the 440 also, but I have to get it finished. and I think it would look good with the 383 pie tin bit of a sleeper ya know

If you have a 383 done, the plan sounds good by the way the last car I saw in buildable cond was a 71 charger he wanted 10K but would take 9K and it was less there than that was but as no one bought it at that price I would say he was dreaming. Any idea what the owner wants for the 'cuda?

He's thinking about parting it now, he estimates 4k in parts  . These cars are not getting any cheaper, or easier to find, do you think it would be worth $3500 or if I had to $4000? I'm not looking to flip it or anything, this would be a keeper. I pay a little extra now, and have to put out a lot less later
