but not to sound mean or anything..but ive ALWAYS felt sorry for kids born in december..especialy close to xmas...first off they dont get it right away and think that EVERYONE is putting up a tree and decorations for there B-day.....then later they realize theyve been jipped of a B-day mid year and having 2 good present/party holidays a year

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! What a Christmas gift, for sure. Love the name (Elizabeth is also my middle name, and Carlee is absolutely beautiful). So......when do we get some pics?? Huh? Wanna see pics......
:bravo: :bravo: :bravo:

Congratulations!!! Elizabeth is the name of a girl I would've married at one point. Thank God I didn't (we were too young), as my current fiance is about 1/4 the width now :D

Congrats....Stretch!!!!:2thumbs:

And spoken from a father of two daughters...though now 6 and 7 years old now...but your sleep schedule and life will be changed forever...but it's all good.....:giggedy:

Congradulations!!! and don't listen to those guys, parenthood is one of the greatest gifts in life, sure your routine will change, and you will have to actually grow up a little, but in the end if you raise them right it's all worth it. Besides, you can sleep again when she moves out to live on campus at college. :bravo:

This had better not cut into our yarding time. :D

Stretchy called me from the hospital a little while after Carlee was born. She was apparently unhappy about something (probably being cold :D ) and good Lord, that little one's got some pipes on her! He was bubbling over with joy and gratitude. I've never seen or heard him so happy. He stopped by the store this morning and was 7 feet tall... because he was walking on air several inches above the floor.

What was really fun was talking to Stretch's Dad this afternoon. He called the store and I got to chat with him for a few minutes. When I answered and he said, "Hi, Pierre, this is Skip" I answered with, "Well, hello Grandpa!" and I could literally hear him light up over the phone. We laughed about Stretch already being the doting father--"Dad, hold her this way" etc., as if Skip hadn't been through this 36 years ago. :D Stretch's Mom and Dad are both excited to finally have a little girl around, too... they really wanted a granddaughter. Though Stretch never said it, Skip assured me he was hoping for a daughter as well.

One potential problem: apparently this child figured out only minutes from the womb the value of a pouty, quivering lower lip. Good luck with that, Dad. :D

Stretch and Sidekick: I think you both know how much you both mean to me, and how much I love you two. I haven't been able to express (and can't, I guess) my joy for the two of you regarding this most-blessed of events. May this Christmas and New Year be your best ever in an upward spiral of greater things to come... I've not met a couple that deserves it more. God bless you and your new family.

Oh, and speaking from experience: in what seems like two months you'll wonder how it's possible she just turned 14. Trust me on this. :D

You asked so here are a few pics.

We named her after Chrissies Grandmother (Carlene) and my Dad (Lee) and Elizabeth is my Mothers middle name.

Stretch holding an 8lb 11oz baby has a similar photographic effect to my holding my niece shortly after she was born... she was something like 4 months premature and weighed 2lbs 4oz.
