Went to swap meet

project74

Trying to find my weed and
...today. Before I left, I said to the wife, "More than likely it'll all be Chevy and late model Mustang stuff." Except for a cast 440 intake, old AFB and a solid 68 Belvedere roller for $4500, alas, shut out again with my accurate prediction.

*sigh*

I won't rant about it again but it's just depressing sometimes :(

Sounds like an episode of Horsepower TV on Spike.

Yeah I picked up a couple than other than Mopar mags earlier, they were very Blowtie oriented, Hot Rod, Car Craft & one of those other "musclecar" mags all that one was talking about was COPO Crapmaro's like they're special or something

Swap was in Windsor. It was thier first (Rotan garage) so fairly small. Still, even the bigger ones are usually pretty weak for the pentastar crowd.

I can see coolness in a copo camaro.[smilie=f:[/quote]

Yeah but the way they talk about it is somehow god handed it down from the heavens, it's the fastest car in the world, and worth more money than a Hemi Cuda Convert. All I see is a one in 5 million Camaro, I don't care if it's a 427 family barge motor with higher compression with some special order designation...

I've seen a few COPO's at car shows. Convinced at least half of them were clones though. Same with the Yenkos.

While I have absolutely no problems with clone cars, it's the ones that are clones and the owner swears up and down it's the real deal. :naughty: Jass and Stretchy harrassed a guy with a 70's T/A Challenger that was a rebody. Said guy is on Mofarts apparently and Stretch was the one who posted about the T/A rotting in a yard and this guy snagged the tags and plates such. :dgt:Was kinda funny watching Jass and Stretch mess with the guy about it too. :p

I know a guy from AOL.... in 1967 he went to a chevy dealer and ordered a Baldwin Motion Nova.... picked it up in 68 when it came in.... tubbed it in 70 cause he used to just drag race the car.... and now it's totally race with like a 568 or some ginormous motor in it.... and its BRIGHT PINK! i dont care for any of the camaros.... yankho's, crapos, BM or Nicky, but, i know BM and Nicky actually did things other then replaced one stock motor with a bigger stock motor....

Mine was white with a blue bench interior, 307 2brl auto with a peg leg out back. Only mod I did was a set of headers and dual exhaust. Remember one particular night eating a 77 Firechicken with a 350. Man was he pissed! :D
