Well... I picked up my Dak last night......

Last night i went and picked up my 96 Dakota.... Everything was going good on the way home then BAM!!!!!! the hood flies up and hits the roof.... [smilie=2: well i pull into the center (suicide) lane.... push the hood down then drive into the walmart parking lot... I told my mom i needed a bungee... Well anyway... other then that the night was pretty uneventful.... truck drives pretty good.... except i hit every bump in the road because its so low.... i'll get pics up soon just bear with me...

Yeah you're lucky that didn't make a mess of your windshield and roof. I know a guy who had the hood fly open on his Neon and it spidered the windshield and made a dent in the roof (no it wasn't me ).

on the older trucks if the hood flew up it would buckle the hoood hinges and hood..but i dont think the hood could actualy hit the roof lol

there's a small dent on the roof.... can probably pop the overhead console and the headliner off and pop it back out.... as for the hood..... it looks like the red sea... ripples waves and dents abound.... oh well though.... i wanna put a glass one on it anyway....:bwuhaha:

My buddies wifes car had the same thing happen with the hood...Didn't hurt the windshield at all and only curled about the first 6" or so of the hood...so I just installed my first hood pin kit!:giggedy::toot:

theres an otherwise nice caddy in town with a bent hood and a rope holding it down
