I'm going for Engine Research and Development. One step under and automotive engineer. I could do the engineer cource if i wanted to, since i have the knowlage and imagination. But, personaly, i'd rather not be stuck in a cubicle all my life, going blind staring at a computer. Drawing pictures of some piece or engine, and watch it get sent out to be built by some one else, tested by someone else, and more that likley sent back to me and told to think of something better. I'd rather see most of it through if i can.
And besides, i get to play around on engine dynos in this career. And even at school to, they have engine dyno's [smilie=e:
And one of the main companies that hire people who complete this cource is Mercury Marine and Harly Davidson. And actully, theres the Mercury Marine Home office near there too. And rumor has it, same thing with they're "secret" test lake too.
And for the moving thing, i'll be off August 12th, or around there. We'll see how fast we can get internet conected down there.
But i think i'm going to stick to this cource, one of its REQUIRED classes is "Rebuilding, Modifing, and Dyno testing Engines"
Please someone tell me i'm dreaming! LOL Once i get to see the instructor, i'm gonna ask if those dyno's they have there (they have four) can run a larger engine (like a Small block or big block). Most of the criteria is done on motor cycle engines, so i thing thats what those dyno's are, are motor cycle dyno's.
Though when i get done with college and get my degree, i'm gonna shotgun some applications and resemes' to NASCAR, Daimler-Chrysler, Mopar Performance and others. Might as well use this degree to the fullest.
Thats all for now, i gotta start getting some things organized for my move.
