The No. 93 Dodge SRT Viper with Marc Goossens at the wheel took the checkered flag at Sunday’s rain-soaked Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen.
It was the second GT Daytona-class victory in three starts for the Riley Motorsports Viper in the four-race Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup series. It was also the second Viper victory in the 2015 Tudor United Sportscar Championship.
The class-winning team of Goossens, Cameron Lawrence and Al Carter were 16th overall in the six-hour race.
The weather was a major player all weekend. Heavy rains in Watkins Glen, New York, forced the cancellation of qualifying on Saturday. During Sunday’s race, more rain led to a 14-minute red flag due to track flooding.
