Very, very cool!

I've been helping out a customer who's been working on a '70 Challenger for one of his customers, finding the impossible-to-find stuff and such.

So I'm out on lunch today, and I see a '70 Challenger sitting at a gas pump as I'm strolling by. I walk up to the feller, a guy in his mid-'50s, and ask him if this is the car Jerry's has been working on of late. He said it was, and I introduced myself as the guy that's been finding all the weird stuff for it. He was excited, and pleased, and thanked me for my efforts.

Then, he asked me where I was heading, and offered me a ride. A very nice gentleman indeed.

On the way, he told me his mother bought the car new in 1970. It's a 318 car, auto on the floor. Original paint, mostly original interior... get this: Panther Pink with a white mid-body stripe (like the R/T stripe without the callouts), white top and interior. Other than an aftermarket radio and a chrome tip, she's stone stock right down to the 14" Magnums. A very, very pretty car.

If I had a camera phone, I'd have taken pics... but I will get some in the near future, as it'll be back in the shop for some more minor work soon.

It was neat to ride in a 1-family car that's really a treasured heirloom.

:bravo: cool , now aboot them there pics :giggedy: sounds like a nice ride :bravo:

Very nice would love to see it..

My mom sold the only car I wanted her to keep I would have talked her out of it but I was in the USAF at RAF alcombury.. Not that I would not love all the ones back from my sig file.. The only one that keeps returning is the dippy
