Just venting here but I hate the whole "rebody" idea. The cars are rare for a reason, swapping VINs and fender tags doesn't magically transform the other car.

In my mind it's fraud, why not just make fake fender tags and broadcast sheets so you can get all the options and the paint schemes you want while you're at it?

It IS fraud, it's a misrepresentation of the car....:mad:
 
We should track the VIN in case a nut finds a good deal on a nice V code car. This kind of fraud cheapens the sport.. Or worse some first timer will try to restore this as a first project get discouraged leave it as a pile of junk and again a black eye on all of us that are trying to be good neighbors. I can here the next door neighbors wife now, " He dragged that home from a junk yard, now do something Homer show me you still have balls go down to town hall there and get a law passed that all cars have to be running or hauled off. For Gods sake Homer do something or I will"
 
What I sent to the seller:

Promoting a rebody. That's great. That is what's wrong with this hobby.

The response:

There's nothing wrong with this hobby except ass holes who would rather see cars crushed than saved.
