I know things have been a little choppy here as of late. Steps have been taken and I think (I don't want to jinx it.) that we should see smoother sailing ahead.
The hosting company upgraded the database server. That was the source of most of the performance issues we've been seeing as well as the CPU exceeded messages that locked up the account.
The database is now stored on a solid state hard drive - basically, that's super fast electronic memory (like the RAM in your PC) as opposed to mechanical magnetic disc based memory (like the hard drive in your PC).
I've noticed a huge difference when I'm maintaining the database and it seems to have sped up page loads for the board but that was never a big problem for me. :huh:
The board software was upgraded this morning. Nothing too spectacular was added. So, you probably won't see any changes. We are more secure than we were yesterday - at least if we believe the software developers (I do for the most part).
