The 77 Club Cab hit the road today! [smilie=e:

Swapped in the cd player and sound system from the 66, installed new rear shocks and changed the oil this am then went for a shakedown cruise. [smilie=c:

New u-joints are next on the list and the valve stem seals are shot. Otherwise the truck performs excellent, nice and tight with no rattles or clunks. :beer:

I am pleased. [smilie=::

Did you know the 318 service-manual procedure for "leaking valve seals" is "replace with larger engine"? It's true! Look it up!

Man, all joking aside (except the skinny jokes) that's really a nice-lookin' rig... I'd gladly drive that, were I allowed. [smilie=e:

How did the floorpan repairs go?

No sweat. I posted pics in the progress section awhile back. [smilie=w:

The shocks I removed from the rear were those godawfull coilover extra load piles of shit. [smilie=e: They had literally bent the lower mounting studs! [smilie=e:
I plan to add a leaf for added towing capacity....the way it should be done. [smilie=a:

That's what I did. :D

Lookin good. You can charge air into the cylinders to hold the valves closed and R and R those hood seals. If its not using a whole bunch of oil I would just call it top cylinder lubrication and run it as is. Crank up the tunes and race somebody with it. [smilie=e:

Beep, do you still have that truck's hubcaps? I liked those, and I'll buy 'em if ya still have 'em.

What for? You and three other band geeks gonna to try and make a modern DEVO video with wind instruments?

*sung to the tune of "whip it"---> "toot it, toot it real good!" da da da dant*

If I remember that video correctly the flower pots on their heads were black. Spray paint is cheap. [smilie=2:

Um, no. Them hubcaps were kinda cool, and I need something on the wall of my garage. I've already pinned some fenders up there...just need some hubcaps and it'll look danged purty!
