Tree Huggers out there?

I have a group of trees that would make a nice resting spot. A semi-natural gazeebo sounds like a good thing. I would like to make a raised floor approximately 5 square feet two feet above ground. what would be the best way to attach "stringers" that wouldn't kill, rape, or mame the trees?

You can make a "floating" deck. Treated 4X4 legs set on gravel or river rock to help keep moisture away. You can get it framed up with a helper or two then just trim the tops of your posts off and lay decking.

Personally I would'nt attach a structure to a tree.

yeah,,,, I was thinking of hanging a tarp so the birds couldn't paint heads, then got to "thinking too much".

it would be nice to relax in the shade after a hard 15 minutes in the garden :)

me personaly i would go with some deck blocks(the type of angled block with a 4x4 metal post attatchement point) and build off of that
