Tony's Parts

OK...summer is here and while for most of you that means you take your car OUT or OOT of mothballs it means mine goes IN.

So, of course, I get the bug to do some upgrades while we're out of commision.

Has anyone here ever dealt with Tony's Parts? I know there aren't a lot of resto maniacs here, but even a dragster sometimes needs a touch of the "original" like a nameplate or sumpin right?

Tony D'Agostino? Not sure if I spelled that right. If that's him, he seems to just be taking advantage of the Mopar craze with his high-priced parts.

You are correct...his list of NOS parts is a little expensive, not nearly as high as some of the assholes on ebay though. For example, he has a vented oil cap in show condition for 80 bucks... a little high, but not the 125 some shitheads want for less than perfect pieces on ebay.

On the other hand, 175 for a repro console is IMO a fair price. No bargain, but how much do you think an NOS console with the crack delete option costs?

I agree that some of his prices are fair but when I looked at stuff that I wanted for my car, I thought he was out of his mind.

My experience with Tony's Parts - I purchased 71 grill surround trim - price was cheaper than what they were going for on ebay and he didn't gouge on shipping. The 2 long trim pieces were even packed in a long section of 6 inch pvc pipe so there was no way it was going to get damaged, and it was shipped fast. I am satisified with the purchase and will buy from him again.

That's great to hear. I'm probably going to get the console cause mine is cracked. Once I get the paint squared away...
