...it starts. The complete disassembly of my Barracuda, and the start of it's progression into a street/race car. Full fiberglass nose, not a one piece, deck lid, & bumpers for sure. I have a line on a pair of A100 seats and a plain Valiant dash. I'm going to throw my free, already machined 383 block on the engine stand and decide on which stroker kit to go with, either this or the one from 440 Source. I have a set of rebuilt 516, I think, heads and I'll pick up a Weiand Team G or comparable intake. I just want a fun car to cruise around town and take to the track on Fridays nights. Now I need to locate a 8 3/4 A body rear, or have the Chally rear that I have narrowed and gather parts for the 3" relocation kit, and new SS springs.

I'm going to sell the front end I have now including the almost perfect grilles & surrounds(see sig pic) the nose piece, the fenders and hood. I'll list them here first, if nothing they'll go to Ebag.

*Edit: and both bumpers

Gonna save the Cuda dash and console for a project for my son, he wants a Duster, so we'll use'em for that

Sounds really interesting.
Finally a use for all those ol' twee eighty twee's.............[smilie=::

Here's some pics of where I am so far, front clip removed, hopefully tomorrow the interior pieces come out.

I'd like to keep it somewhat streetable, if possible, and to be able to run high 10's off the bottle. I'll stick to an auto trans, and probably a 6 or 8 point rollbar/cage. Should I leave the stock 318 T bars or use the /6 bars I have?

Head casting numbers: 3751213
and the other has : 0703- 3769902-11
Do these make sense to anyone? They came with the 69 Road Runner 383 block I have. What are they, are they any good?

Those heads are mid 70s (IIRC '74--75-ish) "902" heads. They are just as good as the 906s and they may have hardened seats in them.

Are they compatible? Will they work with each other? I may have to wait until summer to get the heads I really want, and I'm curious if these will get me by until I get the right ones. Or should I just order these until I can get the Indy heads?

Well, not much done cause I had to move... again . It is a much bigger house though, with a yard

But I did take a pic of my Offy intake with my Cal Customs, I think it'll make a nice old school look, I just have to decide on an air cleaner to complete the look. BTW I gotta a pretty good deal on a Holley 650 with mechanical secondaries

ahhh cal customs OWN..all other covers SUCK!!!

cal made 2 air cleaners that match the covers.....you have a RARE set of covers there considering there not trashed..but most of all neither cover was poped for a pvc!

ill see if i can find the pic's of the 2 matching covers...ok make that 3...i always forget about these as they SCREAM transam/firebird

cal made one EXACTLY like this but with a hole and recessed area for a 3 bar nut and more "square" edges and fins

I think I gotta pretty good deal, $50 for the set :giggedy:

The guy I got them from had a couple more sets, one chrome, that he was keeping for himself. He uses Ford style breathers with the PVC port

50$ is a good deal..ive seen clean ones go for 150 and trashed ones fro 25

i have 1 set without the pcv thing poped and 4 sets with it poped...yeah i like my cal's

yeah the ford breathers are "ok" i useualy just use the chrome ball type breathers....when you do get the breathers..bend the tabs tighter or they WILL LEAK

nice think about the cal stuff imo is the sheer lack of in your face logo placement its clean and tastefull(i mean hell they hid there logo on the pcv pop out...can you get a smaller logo placement?)....you going to buff that set out and polish? or paint inbetween the fins(always looks good engine block matched) or do a wrinkle paint and polished fin edges?

Gonna try to polish first, if they don't come out to good then I'll paint them wrinkle black with the polished fins

Maybe I'm missing something, but those valve covers and intake you showed are small-block parts, and the head castings you posted were big-block.

Lose the motorhome head and see if you can find a matching 902. Otherwise, get yourself a pair of 452s... they outflow the 906s out of the box and have hardened exhaust seats for unleaded gas to boot.
