well the slant was about killed and i can't keep adding oild to the son of a cat. So on saturday i bought a 81 plymouth trailduster what had a good running 318 and 727 trans on it. i just hooked up some gas line to the fuel pump and turned it over a few times and it was off and running! so yesterday i tore the engine out and that soo i can work like a sob today to get everything put in my truck so i can roast um and all that good stuff. So i'll stop back on perodicly today with updates [smilie=e:

hmm into a 56??...could most likely just take the front cross member from the 81 and transplant it..if its 4wd anyway as the 2wd piece is HUGE

What you doing with the rest of the TrailDuster? Our 78 Ramcharger plow truck is about to toss it's rusted shell off the frame. [smilie=2:

day 2:

i decided to go out and get new motor mounts since my old ones were cracked and oil soaked. i have the engine droped into place and i need to bolt it back to gether and hook up a few things. soo wish me some monkey lovin luck

well it isn't starting now at all for my and i'm pissed, i don't know if i need the whole wiring or just the engine compartment stuff. soo i'll get to figure something out tomorrow becuase i work on thursday....

Patrick

well i doubt you want that 80s wireing nightmare...go get a 72-78/9 dist and you should be able to plug right into the factory /6 wireing

its running! TURNS OUT SOMETHING MUST OF HIT THE DIST AND MY CAPS BUTTON and knocked the sendor inside off and make it be a pain in the ass. so i got a used dist for 25 bucks and hooked it up and it runs great but now i have to mess with the timing and figure out whats wrong with my igntiuon swith for the starter then i can put it back to gether! so close.

as soon as i replace the power steering pump what seems to build pressure like nothing. I moves backwards and forwards and i power braked it in the gravel and it turns the rear wheels, but at least i have a few more days off to get some stuff done then i can rock and roll!
