ive read them somewhere but i dont remember where. what is the max tire size for an e-body front and rear? 14's and 15's. thanks for the help. ive got very LOW profile tires on there now that were actually for my neon and with the new exhaust im needing a bit more clearance. thanks guys and gals, your tops!

For factory rubber F70-14 was the biggest 14, as far as I know, with the max tire overall being a G60-15. In P-metric terms, those are essentially P215/70R-14 and P235/60R-15, respectively.

As far as what will fit, I've had as wide as a P255/60R-15 up front and P295/50R-15 out back... that back is a real cozy fit, even with the right offset rim.

im running 14 rally wheels at the moment. do you have any tire sizes for 14's? i have a pair of 295/50/15's that i had on my 'Cuda and like you say it was REAL cozy and that car had 15's originally. hey jass you might know this, my brother in law says that the rear quarters of e-bodies optioned with 15" wheels got a different treatment, like a lip roll on the inner wheel well. is that true? i was running air shocks back then and now im running regular kyb's at all four corners so i cant "jack" it up if i need to. her ass sags now too so i might need to get a set of heavy duty springs or add a leaf. As far as I knew, the '70 is the only year with the "Hemi fender" as it's known--meaning the front fender lip was different between 14"-equipped cars and those with 15" wheels. I don't know about the quarters, but if there was a difference I would imagine it's a small trim job, not actual separate part numbers. I honestly think the quarters weren't different, just the fenders... but I'm not sure.

All '71-up cars had the '70-type Hemi fender lip, regardless of factory wheel size.
