hung like a stud field mouse and
over at bell canada. I was trying to switch to their dsl based internet, because cogeco pissed me off alot. Well they wanted 4 pieces of identification. After all this hassle they decided that i had to pay $20 extra a month for 5 months because i was a new subscriber.

I asked if they wanted my first born child too and then proceeded to cancel all this possible service. Where i had to sit on the line until someone from the cancellation department was available to cancel this non existant service. so an hour and a half later i finally get off the phone with nothing accomplished.

Who has an idea for internet service now? not cogeco and obviously not hell canada. the non existant phone line is a problem. Where bell told me they could do it on a dry loop. for such and such a month. cheaper then cogeco.

sounds like a disaster  hope you find decent internet service soon. I could never go back to dialup after having dsl :dgt:

what's the beef with cogeco?

I've had them here for years. Other than an occassional and short outage, I've had no real problems with them. A few things here and there but they've always done a good job fixing things when needed.

they were always good to me.

Until i made my move from sarnia to windsor. I had to pay 2 months service ahead when i got to windsor as expected. I paid that and continued paying them every month. Somehow they messed up and did not recognize my payments. So after i kept getting bills that got bigger and bigger. I started to question things when i got a bill for over 300 bucks. I was not going to pay that much for a months service and found it odd that it was 3 times the amount that i should normally pay for a months service. So I called their ass up.

I know for a fact that i have paid them over a grand extra, but they still insist i owe them 300 bucks. I have my bank reports and everything in hand and tried to argue that point, but they still insist i owe them 300 bucks when my bank reports state that i have paid them a grand extra. Some reason my payment is not being registered and its being paid on a regualar basis because i have never missed a payment.

the bank statements proved that i have paid the bills and everything is being done correctly at the bank. its cogeco's end that is messed up.

Try cogeco lite service. it's just as fast for most stuff, little cheaper per month. i've been paying my hell bill on computer for over a year and last week their computer phoned me to tell me i'm in to them for four hundred dollars. what?!!! cheese and rice.!!!! i have all the statements too. they've recieved some payments, not every one., what?!!!! i had to request a search at my bank and fax it to hell. it may take a month to straighten out bell says. what?!!! bastards. they're everywhere... phone bastards, cable bastards, bank bastards. time to start our own internet connection company!!!

Thats what i used to use is the cogeco lite service, but after someone sticks it up my ass i try to get away from them as much as possible.

remind Bell that they switched their billing system last year and screwed up just about every account...

I'm with Bell right now and am looking for another provider. Try MNSI DD. They've got a special right now, high speed DSL for $29.95 a month for the first 6 months. I dealt with MNSI during the dial up days and never had any problems. :)
